Jag är omgiven av kreativitet så att det står härliga till! Under arbetet med musikalen SHREK är det inget annat än storsatsning som gäller. När jag inte har mina scener har jag suttit bland nästintill tomma publikstolar på Lunds Stadsteater och beskådat kollegorna i ensemblen. Hjälp, så alla är duktiga. Jag kommer på mig själv att småle och skratta när jag hör och ser allt tokigt som sker under föreställningen. Min förhoppning är att alla som kommer för att se den ska beröras ännu mer.

Det står klart att regissören Matthias Dümmatzen har en vision om föreställningen. Under veckan har han varit och petat lite här och där i scenerna, allt för att det ska bli närmare den visionen. Det är alltid så här under veckan innan själva premiären, skulle jag påstå, för alla ensembler. Många repetitioner av samma scen, en sång som behöver hållas ut längre eller något annat. Det tar tid. Tid som man bara väntar av tills det är ens tur kan kännas frustrerande. MEN, så fungerar det inom teaterns värld. Saker MÅSTE få ta tid. Belöningen kommer nämligen i en skarp ensemble som är trygga i vad de ska göra. Det gäller genom hela spektret faktiskt. Från kostymavdelningen, danskoreografi, musik och ända upp till regilaget. Och en väl genomarbetad pjäs eller musikal blir flera ton bättre på premiären. Vilket... är.... imorgon! Yaiks!

Jag kan känna en viss osäkerhet angående positioner ännu. Den är liten, men den finns där. De flesta sagodjur har ju repat sedan runt månadsskiftet september-oktober 2017, jag dök upp i skogen först den fjärde januari i år. Men jag har lärt mig mycket under den korta tiden (tack Tomten, Malmö Högskola och alla teatergrupper. för att ni skolade mig så väl). Däremot är jag bekväm i min kostym, som den här gången är en jättelik grön klänning med husmorsprickar på. Den blev helt fantastiskt kul och hjälper mig att komma in i rollen som Stora Stygga Vargen.

Jag kan inte nog poängtera hur pass skicklig den här ensemblen är. En pjäs utan ensemble skulle vara fattig. Alla dessa människor som har lagt ner tid för att blåsa liv i dessa karaktärer gör ett jättebra jobb. Det måste ses. Det kan du göra genom att boka via Julius Biljettservice. Kanske vi ses i träsket, antingen i Lund eller Malmö?

I am surrounded by creativity to the max! During the process with the musical SHREK there is nothing short of making it big that counts. When I didn't have scenes on stages I had my place in the nearly empty seating areas in Lund City Theatre and watched my collegues in the ensemble. My goodness, how great everyone is. I found myself smiling and chuckling when I heard and saw all the crazy stuff that was going on during the show. My hope is that everyone coming to see this will be affected even more.

It's clear that director Matthias Dümmatzen has a vision for the show. During the week he's been doing adjustments to the scenes, all to get closer to that vision. This is always the case during the week up until the actual opening night, I would say, for all theatre companies. Many rehearsals for the same scene, a song that needs to be longer or something else. It takes time. Time that you just feel you sit out and wait can be frustrating. BUT, that is the way the cookie crumbles in the world of theatre. Things HAVE to take time. The reward comes later in the shape of a sharpened ensemble that is safe in what they are supposed to do. It runs throughout the entire spectre, actually. From the wardrobe department, dance-choreography, music and all the way up to the directing team. And a well worked and elaborated play or musical becomes tons better on the opening night. Which... is.. tomorrow! Yaikes!

I can feel a slight uncertainty regarding some positions still. It is tiny, but it's there. Most fairy tale creatures have been rehearsing since the turn of the month between September-October 2017, I showed up in the forest first on January fourth of this year. But I have learned a lot during this short period (also a big thanks to Santa, Malmö University and all theatre groups, for teaching me so well.). On the other hand I'm getting comfortable in my costume, this time it's a giant green dress dotted with white matron-dots. It turned out amazing and fun and helps me get into character as the Big Bad Wolf.

I can not point it out enough, how good the people in this ensemble is. A play without a cast would be rather bland. All these people who have spent time to bring life in all these characters do an excellent job. It needs to be seen. You can also do it by booking a ticket at Julius Biljettservice. Perhaps I will see you in the swamp, either in Lund or Malmö?
