Nu står det klart med förskola på älvdalska i höst, Herrens år 2016. Ja, det lät kanske lite väl högtidligt. Men faktum är att detta känns som en historisk milstolpe i ordets mest positiva bemärkelse. Med tanke på den svenska statens aggressiva vilja att motarbeta den inhemska språkliga mångfalden (en strävan som inte förlorade kraft förrän i början på 1980-talet), så är det underligt att älvdalska har överlevt modern tid.

Men nu verkar en ny generation få chansen att visa vägen, vilket öde som väntar älvdalskan. Beslut har fattats om en förskola där huvudspråk blir älvdalska, med inspiration från språkbadsmetoden. Den går ut på att "bada " eleverna i ett språk; all kommunikation sker på språket i fråga och har använts med stor framgång i Storbritannien, Norge och Italien.

Now it's clear that there will be a pre-school in Elfdalian this Fall, in the year of our Lord 2016. Well, that sounded a bit posh. But the fact of the matter is that it's a historic milestone in the most positive aspect of the word. Keeping in mind the Swedish State's aggressive will to conterfit the domestic linguistic diversity (a progression that didn't loose its power until the early 1980's), so it's a wonder that Elfdalian has survived into the post-modern era.

But now it seems that a new generation will have the chance to show the way, what destiny awaits Elfdalian. Decision has been made about the Elfdalian pre-school, inspired by the method of language immersion. It boils down to "immerse" the students in the language at hand; all communication is to be made in it and has been used with great success in the U.K., Norway and Italy.
