För någon vecka sedan fick jag ett e-brev från förlaget bakom den kommande novell-antologin. Tyvärr kommer de inte att göra en antologi, på grund av för få inkomna bidrag. Rackarns! Ifall det hade hjälpt hade jag ytterligare en novell på gång ifall det hade hjälpt till skribentstatistiken. Men det blir alltså inte av med någon antologi. Förlaget kommer att försöka nästa år igen.
Det som var intressant var ändå att ingenstans i brevet togs det upp att "antologin inte blir av, och förresten; din novell sög som gammal citron!". Vilket kan betyda, kanske, att min novell hade kommit med ifall de hade fått in tillräckligt med material? Hur som helst så undrade de ifall jag vill ha novellen "på is" till nästa tillfälle eller publicera den för annat förlag. Det är inte helt uttryckt men mellan raderna kan det vara så att den höll bra standard nog. Vem vet?

About a week ago I recieved an e-mail from the publishing house behind the up and coming short story anthology. Unfortunately they will no longer make it happen, due to few entries. Darn it! In case it would have helped, to my defence I did had a second short story in the works, to raise the writers' statistics. But as of now an anthology will not happen. The publishers will make another try next year.
What strikes me as interesting though, was that nowhere in the letter they hinted that "the anthology is not going to happen, and by the way; your short story sucked like old lemon!". Which might mean, perhaps, that my story would have made it to the cut in case they had recieved enough entries? Anyhoo, they wanted to know if I would like to place my story "on ice" for the next opportunity or publish it for another publishing house. It's not entirely clear but I get the feeling it had a good standard. Who knows?
