Fjäderkampen! / The feather tussle!

Välkomna, tag plats framför scenen. Ridån går upp inom kort. Dramatisk inledning? Ja, lite kanske. Nu är det snart dags nämligen. Teater Oscar i Kävlinge kommer att ge sin årliga föreställning senare i höst. Efter ett sommaruppehåll är det dags igen för repetitioner, kreativa lösningar och till sist färdig föreställning.

En av skisserna som jag blev nöjd med.

Hur ska man få till variation? / How to make variations?

Vid ett planeringsmöte i våras kom det upp detta med affisch till föreställningen. Inte en alltför oviktig detalj inför en pjäs. Affischen ska ju tala, förmedla något och även väcka intresse så att publiken hittar till föreställningen. Jag tog mig an uppgiften. När det stod klart ungefär vad pjäsen skulle handla om, en titel som höll och vad som kom fram under repetitionerna - började den ta form.

Ser bra ut... / Looking good...

Jag kände spontant att jag inte ville avslöja för mycket. En del affischer till pjäser och opera lämnar inte mycket åt fantasin. Kanske på gott och ont. I det här fallet ville jag att människor som ser den ska haja till och fundera. Att de verkligen ska undra vad som döljer sig bakom den obskyra bilden. I bästa fall fastnar det så pass att de inte har något val än att se föreställningen. Då är jobbet "betalt" på ett sätt. Nu är grunden klar, snart ska jag börja formge den till dess slutgiltiga format. Uppdatering hägrar i framtiden... ;-)

Ge akt på alla strukturer. / Mind all the structures.

Welcome, take your seats in front of the stage. The curtain is about to come up shortly. Dramatic introduction? Well, yes, a tad maybe. Now is the time here. Theatre Oscar in Kävlinge will soon give its annual performance later this Fall. After a brief summer break it is time for rehearsals, creative solutions and finally an entire play.

Min äldsta dotter är en bra assistent. / My oldest daughter is a good assistant.

Jag tror bildspråket kan fungera bra till pjäsens tema.

During a planning meeting this Spring the talk came up with a poster for the play. Not a too unimportant detail in the prepping for a play. A poster is supposed to speak, convey something and even spark interest so the audience find their way to the play. I assumed the task at hand. When it became clear fairly what the play was about, a title that had bearing and what came out from rehearsals - it began to take shape.

Fjädrar som virvlar ner i scenljuset. Vad kan detta betyda? Hm...

I spontaneously felt that I didn't want to give too much away. Some posters for plays or operas leave little for the imagination. Perhaps for good and bad. In this case I wanted for the people who saw it should stop in their tracks and wonder. That they really would ponder about what really lies behind the obscure painting. In best case scenario it will stick with them to the point when they have no other alternative than to see the play. Then the job is "paid" in a way. Now the foundation is finished, soon I will shape the poster to its final format. An update lurks in the future...  :-)
