Heja julen! / Go Christmas!

Kan det inte vara jul... ungefär ett halvår? Jag är en inbiten julmänniska som blir barnsligt larvig av att se julbelysning i fönster eller pynt som säljs i butiker. Mer jul åt folket! Visst har jag förståelse för människor som fasas och pustar att se julpynt packas upp på IKEA och andra affärer redan i oktober. Men hallå, det är ju snart JUL!

Som jag skrev förut så blev det inget med SHREK-musikalen för mig. Däremot kontaktades jag av produktionsbolaget för ca en vecka sedan. De vill anställa mig för ett annat uppdrag och precis som förut sköttes det hela väldigt professionellt. De vill ha mina mått åt kostymörerna, boka produktionsmöte snarast och inte minst betala lön för mina tjänster. Det är inte så ofta som teater har gett pengar för mig, mer som att jag "fått vara med" när det är teater inblandat. Och det, inte att förringa, är kul. Men det betalar ju inga räkningar. Nu får jag en skälig lön för ett uppdrag, det ger mig en form av respekt i egenskap av teatermänniska.

Can't it be Christmas... for about six months? I am a hardcore Christmas-person that gets silly-happy by watching the Christmas lights in windows or ornaments sold in the stores. More Christmas for the people! Sure, I do sympathize with those people dreading to see Christmas things being unpacked at IKEA and other stores already in October. But hey, it's soon CHRISTMAS!

As I wrote previously there will be no SHREK- the musical, for me. On the other hand I was contacted by the production company for about a week or so ago. They want to hire me for another assignment and just as before (during the SHREK-audition), it was all handled very professionally. They wanted my measurements for the wardrobe-department, they want to book a production meeting as soon as possible and not least pay wages for my services. It is not so common that theatre has resulted in money for me, more that I have "been a part" of whatever it is that is going on, concerning theatre. And that, not to downplay the matter, is fun too. But it doesn't pay the bills. Now I am recieving adequate salary for an acting job, which in turn gives me respect in the role as a theatre-person.
